For more information: http://www.scmwa.com News from the Vineyard It is supposed to be wintertime, but the weather has been so sunny and warm you would think it is spring! Nevertheless, in past years we have seen snow in the vineyard at this time of year, and frost in April. So although the sunshine tempts us, we do not forget that it is still winter in the mountains. This is the time of year for pruning back the vines and getting ready for the warm spring weather that will push the new shoots. We look forward to a new crop of Chardonnay and of Merlot from our estate vineyard. Jerold O'Brien |
