Silver Mountain Vineyards' pinot noir was awarded several medals in the $30-and-above category of the 2006 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.The Santa Cruz Mountains winery was awarded the only Double Gold Medal for pinot noir in the category for its 2003 Santa Lucia Highlands (Tondre Grapefield) Pinot Noir. The Gold Medal for its 2003 pinot noir comes from Russian River's Amber Ridge Vineyard and the Silver Medal for its 2003 Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir comes from Miller Hill Vineyard.
Silver Mountain's 14-acre estate vineyard, above Los Gatos at 2,100 feet elevation in the Santa Cruz Mountains, grows organic chardonnay, pinot noir, and merlot grapes.
Silver Mountain's Cannery Row tasting room is located at the Monterey Plaza Hotel.
